EAT ME
2025 cooking class series
During Revel & Feast week, kitchens, campfires, and market stalls became classrooms as food lovers of all ages rolled up their sleeves and joined us for a series of hands-on cooking experiences.
From foraging in the forest to shaping fresh gnocchi, the Eat Me Cooking Classes were all about learning new skills, sharing good food, and having a little fun along the way.
FORAGE & FIRE
One of the week's most memorable adventures was Forage & Fire hosted by Chef Aidan. Participants headed into the woods to gather wild mushrooms before returning to cook their harvest over an open flame. The class offered a chance to connect with the landscape and experience local ingredients in a whole new way. (You can read more about Forage & Fire in our dedicated blog post!)
KIDS COOKING CLASS
The next generation of chefs got their turn in the spotlight during Chef Aidan's Kids Cooking Class. Armed with chef hats and a budget, the young cooks were given money to shop for ingredients at the farmers market before heading back to the kitchen to create their own delicious dishes. Watching their confidence grow from market stall to cutting board was a highlight of the week.
$10 EATS
For those looking to stretch both their skills and their grocery budget, Chef Emry's $10 Eats class proved that healthy, flavourful meals don't have to come with a hefty price tag. Participants learned practical tips and techniques while creating a satisfying tofu and cabbage meal for under ten dollars, leaving with plenty of inspiration for their own kitchens at home.
PILLOWY GNOCCHI
Meanwhile, outside Dose Coffee, Alfred's hosted a lively Learn to Cook Pillowy Gnocchi class with Chef Ivan. Guests gathered around as Chef Ivan demonstrated the art of transforming a few simple ingredients into soft, cloud-like gnocchi.
THANK YOU CHEFS!
Each class was met with enthusiastic participation, eager questions, and plenty of full plates. Whether attendees were seasoned home cooks or complete beginners, the shared joy of learning and cooking together was evident in every session.
A huge thank you to our chefs, partners, and participants for making this year's Eat Me Cooking Classes such a success. We loved seeing so many people gather around food, learn something new, and leave inspired.
We can't wait to bring even more hands-on culinary experiences back to Revel & Feast next year.
