Originally from the United Kingdom with a foundation rooted in Michelin Star, Ivan started his culinary journey refining his skills in some of the industry's most demanding culinary environments, developing a precise and elevated approach to modern cooking.
For almost a decade, Ivan brought his passion and expertise to Australia’s vibrant dining scene. He worked in multiple establishments that earned a spot on Australia’s top 100 restaurant list, leading kitchens and collaborating on menus that blended the bold, intricate flavours of Asian cuisine with the finesse of modern European techniques. His time in Australia was marked by creativity, innovation, and a dedication to using seasonal ingredients.
Since moving to Canada, Ivan has brought his refined and dynamic approach to the Canadian dining scene, contributing to acclaimed kitchens including one of Canada's top 100 best restaurants.
Now with a career that bridges the traditional and the contemporary, Chef Ivan continues to push boundaries while honouring the roots of his culinary journey. Outside of the kitchen, Ivan can be found exploring the wild beauty of British Columbia, whether it be snowboarding, climbing or hiking he is never far from another adventure.
