Arnoul Matteo
Originally from France, Arnoul settled in this beautiful valley 7 years ago. Being an ecologist first and learning to cook at home in France strongly influences my cuisine. Creating food with sustainable products, and supporting small scale regenerative farming. I’ve got to learn firsthand how slow food practices shape landscapes and communities, preserving nature and our climate. He has worked for many seasons as a commercial forager in British-Columbia, gathering mushrooms and berries all across the province.
“My goal is to help connect people through food, to their land and community, in a sustainable way”.

AIDAN CAIN
Growing up in the Niagara Region, I started working at just 11 years old and found my passion for cooking by 15. Under the mentorship of Jillian St. Amour, I apprenticed in the roots of French cuisine while attending the Canadian Food and Wine Institute. After earning my Red Seal, I moved west in 2014 to help open Chubby Funsters Kitchen and Cocktails, where I honed my craft before launching my own catering and private chef business in 2023.
At the heart of everything I do is my family — the true inspiration behind my work. Building this business has given me the gift of time; time to grow with my family, create lasting memories, and call Revelstoke — the most beautiful place on earth — home. When I’m not catering or crafting meals for clients, you’ll still find me in the kitchen cooking for my family, or out foraging, biking, and camping together. Food, adventure, and connection are what fuel me every day.
