OUR ROOTS
Hi. it’s MIA & AMANDA, the founders of r&F. we’re passionate about good food shared with great people.
Long before Revelstoke became known for skiing & APRES, biking, and adventure, it was a place where people relied on the land — growing hearty crops, foraging from the forests, and sharing meals as a way to build community.
The valley’s fertile soils and four distinct seasons made it possible to grow food even in the rugged interior. Revelstoke’s earliest families planted orchards, tended vegetable farms, and raised livestock to nourish their families.
Over time, the town became a gathering place for diverse food traditions; with flavors carried in by railway workers, immigrants, and travelers passing through.
Today, that same spirit of resilience and creativity lives on in Revelstoke’s food culture — from small farms and backyard growers to local chefs and makers. Food here is more than fuel: it’s a way of connecting, celebrating, and honoring the land we call home.

THE REVEL & FEAST VALUES:

My food story begins in the kitchens of many places. Shaped by an international childhood & and nourished by the deep, comforting roots of French Canadian cuisine (the sweetest sugar pies, rich soups, piled-high smoked meat).
Wherever I was in the world, food became my connection to place, the common language that connects me to people and culture. A delicious meal is never just about ingredients; it’s about the connection shared between the people gathered around the table. Food is a love language - an invitation to share stories, to celebrate traditions, and to create community — and it is this spirit that inspires Revel & Feast.
My food story has now evolved into what I can pass on to my kids - slowing down to enjoy a meal together, and building memories around our favourite foods and places.
MIA KNOBLER
As a kid, I grew up surrounded by all types of cuisine. My parents loved experimenting in the kitchen, growing food, and traveling with my sisters and I. Tasting and creating new foods are some of my favourite joys in life!
Food has always been part of my work life too: I’ve spent years in restaurants, most memorably eight years at a pizzeria where the food was out of this world. That experience sealed the deal, my favourite cuisine is definitely Italian food!
These days, I continue to explore, cook, and taste my way through life—always excited to try something new, and never saying no to a good slice of ‘za. 🍕
